What This Widget Does

The ClearPath Health support widget allows you to submit support requests, chat with our Patient Support team, and access Help Center articles directly from our website or patient portal. To provide this service, we collect certain information when you interact with the widget.

When you use the support widget, we may collect:

• Contact information you provide, such as your name and email address
• The content of your messages, including any details you share about your care or account
• Technical information, such as your browser type, device, and the page you were on when you opened the widget

Information collected through the widget is used solely to:

• Respond to your support request and resolve your issue
• Route your ticket to the appropriate support team (Patient Support or Clinical Operations)
• Improve the quality and responsiveness of our support services

We do not use widget interactions for advertising or marketing purposes.

HIPAA & Protected Health Information

ClearPath Health is a HIPAA-covered entity. Any protected health information (PHI) you share through the widget — such as details about your diagnosis, prescriptions, or treatment — is handled in accordance with our full HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. We recommend avoiding sharing sensitive health details in the widget chat when possible; our support team can access your records securely once your identity is verified.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your information. Widget data may be shared with:

• Zendesk, Inc., our third-party support platform provider, which processes data on our behalf under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)
• Internal ClearPath Health staff on a need-to-know basis to resolve your request
• Legal or regulatory authorities, if required by law

Data Retention

Support tickets and chat transcripts are retained for 3 years from the date of your last interaction, after which they are securely deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
